CHIP

The Coalition for Homelessness Intervention and Prevention of Greater Indianapolis

CHIP is a nonprofit agency created in 1996 to advocate for people experiencing and at risk for homelessness in Indianapolis and to help organizations work together to foster an effective, coordinated, community-wide approach toward ending and preventing homelessness.

CHIP provides services that build the capacities of housing and social service organizations directly serving people experiencing and at risk for homelessness, primarily through efforts to increase the stock of affordable supportive housing in Indianapolis and to increase the coordination of services individuals and families need to become and remain successfully housed and self-sufficient.

Since 2002, CHIP has served as the lead entity for implementing the initiatives of Indianapolis’s Blueprint to End Homelessness.
