The CHIP Executive Director provides direct leadership to staff and board to meet the defined strategic, operational, financial, programmatic, and advocacy goals of the organization. The Executive Director serves as the public face of CHIP to all stakeholders and constituents. As such, the Executive Director must operate with the highest level of integrity, credibility, and professionalism at all times. The Executive Director must provide leadership to, positively influence, and negotiate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to advance the goals of CHIP, including (but not limited to) funders, the business community, public agencies, and service and housing providers. The Executive Director serves as the chief fundraiser for CHIP and ensures a diversified and balanced funding stream.
The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and fosters open communication and transparency with information, both positive and negative. The Executive Director operates within the parameters established by the Board of Directors and manages the agency in a manner that brings focus to the mission and achievement of its strategic goals. The Executive Director must demonstrate success in ensuring the agency operates according to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and directives; organization by-laws; United Way policies and procedures in relation to accounting and human resource management; and grant requirements.
