CHIP hosts several signature events each year to raise awareness about homelessness in our community. Join us at our next event as we impact homelessness in our community.
Join CHIP in celebrating! This event is our annual fundraiser reception and awards presentation. This includes our community's Diamond Service Award, which is presented to an individual who is formerly homeless and is now giving back to the community in meaningful ways. Our 2018 keynote speaker is Dr. Matthew Morton, Research Fellow at Chapin Hall (University of Chicago) and Principal Investigator for Voices of Youth Count, a national research and policy initiative focused on recommending solutions to end youth homelessness nationwide.

Join the Indianapolis community in commemorating the lives of the individuals who have experienced homelessness and have passed away during the year. The service includes a candlelight ceremony, which consists of reading the names and lighting a candle for each person who has passed.
CHIP leads the community in conducting a Point-in-Time (PIT) Count, during which volunteers search all over Indianapolis to interview and offer assistance to unsheltered and sheltered homeless individuals. The information gathered during this event is vital to figuring out where resources should be focused, helping evaluate current programs, and forming new initiatives.

Uplift individuals and families in our community who have overcome homelessness. This inaugural event will recognize and showcase those who have been housed and thank our community's service providers who have assisted them on this journey in the past year. Success stories will be shared through photo and live storytelling.
CHIP and Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) are hosting the second annual Indiana Housing and Homelessness Conference. Researchers and thought leaders on homelessness prevention and intervention will present at the conference, equipping attendees with best practices on how we can make an impact on homelessness in the state of Indiana.
