Each December, on the longest night of the year, CHIP brings the community together to honor the neighbors whose lives were lost during the past year. The Homeless Persons’ Memorial Service is a sacred space for remembrance, reflection, and recommitment. Collectively, we speak their names, mourn their loss, and affirm our shared belief that every person deserves the dignity of a home. Since our first memorial service held in 1996, we have honored over 1500 names and lit as many candles to keep their legacies alight.
This year, we will be gathering on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Roberts Park United Methodist Church. Please see above for additional details.
