CHIP was part of PBS NewsHour segment "Indiana Medicaid Work Requirements Fuel Worries for the Poor." Some 25,000 Hoosiers were dis-enrolled from Medicaid from 2015 to 2017 because they didn't pay their premiums. With additional work requirements being added, this could greatly impact those experiencing homelessness and those living in poverty.
Even though we have been told there's an exemption for homelessness, we haven't heard 'How is that going to work? What does that look like? How are we going to get it? What proof do you have to provide?'
