Capacity Building, Training, & Technical Assistance
We train, educate, and build capacity for Indianapolis homeless service providers.
CHIP believes the Indianapolis' system of care for those experiencing homelessness is only as strong as each organization that is a part of the system. Therefore, we offer a wide variety of initiatives to ensure homeless service providers have the knowledge, skills, tools, and capacity to best meet the needs of their clients. From system-wide to program-specific, CHIP facilitates and organizes these resources to address the challenges and barriers of homeless service providers in Indianapolis.
CHIP is dedicated to providing:
- Training focused on building the knowledge and skills of staff at all levels of an organization
- Technical assistance focused on building and refining initiatives that impact the entire homeless system
- Capacity building efforts designed to enhance an organization's ability to better serve its clients
CHIP actively works with the Indianapolis Continuum of Care, local funders, service providers, and national consultants to understand and satisfy the overall training and capacity needs of organizations that serve those experiencing homelessness and to fill in any specific gaps in knowledge and skills.
